Plan the liquid and vapor samples your analysis requires. Use the sampling and transport instructions supplied with your specific cylinder.

Confirm the sample and kit

Tell the lab the refrigerant type and requested analysis. Use the correct high- or low-pressure sampling kit and the current instructions supplied with that vessel.

Match the sample to the test

The listed purity and contamination tests use a liquid-phase sample. A separate vapor sample may be needed for non-condensable gases. Confirm this before collecting the sample.

Identify every cylinder

Use a unique sample ID on the cylinder and its collection form. Record the system or compressor and collection details so the laboratory can connect the result to the right equipment.

Pack the complete return

Follow the kit’s closure, protective packaging, and carrier instructions. Include one completed collection form per sample and keep the cylinder identification attached.

BEFORE YOU SEND IT

Give every sample a history.

  • Company, contact, email, and phone
  • Refrigerant type and sample ID
  • Job description and collection date
  • System or compressor manufacturer, model, and serial number
  • Source conditions and separate liquid/vapor sample details when applicable

One completed form per sample. Keep the same asset and component identifiers on future submissions so reports can be compared over time.

Cylinder preparation, fill limits, and transport requirements depend on the vessel and contents. Have a qualified technician follow the current kit and equipment instructions; contact the lab if they are missing.
