OIL REPORT

The oil, the wear,
and the equipment history.

Oil reports can include wear and additive elements, viscosity, acid number, water, ferrous content, particle results, and laboratory observations. Parameter selection depends on the agreed test scope.

Use two or more samples from the same component and asset to build a trend. Record oil and equipment hours, sampling point, and maintenance changes.

What your refrigerant analysis measures

A liquid-phase analysis for refrigerant purity and contamination, with results reviewed against the applicable AHRI 700 specifications.

Gas chromatography identifies refrigerant composition and other refrigerants present.

Moisture

Water content, reported in parts per million, measured by Karl Fischer titration.

High-boiling residue

Residue and oil content reported as a percentage by weight.

Acidity results help identify contamination in the refrigerant sample.

Visual examination for solids and other visible contamination.

Non-condensable gas testing uses a separate vapor sample when required. Confirm the refrigerant designation and required test scope with the lab before collecting samples.

Refrigeration oil analysis connects the condition of the lubricant with the compressor it protects. Available testing covers the groups below; the lab confirms the parameters for your sample.
